Just finished The Hunger Games. If you haven't read it, believe the hype. I am trying to decide how long I can go without buying the second one. I have a feeling that diving into it could get in the way of finishing that intimidating list of things due by April 1.
But I will talk some folks into seeing the movie with me.

Hmmm. I haven't read it yet but have heard all the good things. Mike just started it today. I may have to give it a go.
Give it a try! It might not be for everyone (I admit some hesitation about it), but I found it a surprisingly rich and compelling world.
I loved the whole series, but I have to confess that book 2 was my favorite :)
Heidi--you might also like "Beautiful Creatures" (I'm currently on the 2nd one in that series, and I'm addicted. Unfortunately, the 3rd isn't out yet!) and the Infernal Devices series. (I think the 3rd is coming out this year) The Infernal Devices series is set in the same world as the Mortal Instruments series (which is also very good, but I like ID more than MI.)
I loved all 3 books. I almost didn't read them because they didn't seem like the type of books I normally enjoy. Once I started them I couldn't stop reading them. I read all three while we were on vacation last summer (about 2 weeks)! Can't wait to see the movie.
