Oh so close, Shannon. I'll check again tomorrow when all is said and done, but right now, Martinsburg is reporting that we've gotten 4.5 inches of snow.
Oooh!! Now it looks like Guelph! Snowed all night, snowed all day, sub-freezing temps and snow every day in the ten-day forecast, and yet here I am at work because no one in Canada seems to understand that you should stay home when it snows.
Now that that little rant is out, stay safe and warm. Did anyone make it to your class? Did Shannon win the prize?
The official total was 4.5 inches. Sorry, Shan, you can in just a bit over. We follow "The Price is Right" rules here, so an overbid means you lose.
I had a half-way decent turn out for class, believe it or not. I think there were about 20 students there out of 36. I only kept them until 1:00, and then got the heck home.
The university ended up canceling all classes after 3:00.
Amber, tell us how you really feel about winter in Guelph.
:) Sorry, was I a bit harsh? I am feeling much better today, though, because the sun actually came out yesterday afternoon and this morning. It was still snowing, but it was so nice to see the sun after a couple of weeks!
I am glad you made it home safely and had some students. I guess if you can just walk to class from your dorm, it is not too hard to get there.
Shan, I'm sorry you overbid and didn't win the prize. Maybe next time!
Ok... Price is Right rules are the only way to go!! (is there any other eay!!)
but actually I was guessing how many students would show up in heidi's class... not how many inches of snow she got!! (sorry I wasn't more specific!!). oh well... 5 isn't really close to 20 as far as students go... I will except my loser status gracefully!!
We actually got some snow here... our first real snow of the winter! is was very pretty! I enjoyed sitting in my nice and toasty hot tub, overlooking our backyard full of snow (I think we got like an inch).
