I saw that yesterday, and I just couldn't believe it. What could they be thinking? I was a little bit excited when I saw the headline (A Buffy movie? Awesome! I hope Spike's in it!) and then I read about the lack of Whedon and was really just confused. And a bit depressed.
In case my comment's confusing, I originally didn't see the EW article you linked to that clearly says that Joss wouldn't be involved in the movie in the headline. The headline that I saw said something like "Buffy Movie Finally Being Made" and then only mentioned the Joss-lessness of it all in the article.
And, on a related note, I would like more Dr. Horrible, please.
