So the first day of the Spring 2009 Semester went rather well. I taught two classes today: ENGL 204 and ENGL 312. ENGL 312 is a brand-new course for our department (part of our redesigned major), so that adds even more excitement. Of course, all I've really done in these classes so far is take attendance, go over the syllabus, and make a bunch of corny jokes. Tomorrow I teach two sections of ENGL 102. Students can expect more of the same from me on day one of those classes.
And here's something that's hard to wrap my mind around: my course requests for next semester are due on January 16. Yup, that's this Friday.
