I was really struck by this news story about how an old picture helped solve a mystery. Side note: the picture was taken not too far from where I grew up. Ultimately, it's a sad story, but at least the family has some answers.

I'm just curious as to how many people "accidentally" fall through ice with a back pack full of rocks??? that doesn't quite sound like an accident to me?!?!?
This is precisely why, when I am hiking with a bag of rocks on my back, I am so very careful.
I guess if the guy was an avid rock collector...the situation might be a little different?!!? but come on... walking across frozen water with a bag of rocks! hmm.... maybe we can start a new sport!
