Facebook as personal narrative

I read this piece (through a link from the Daily Dish) last night and it gave me chills. We put so much of ourselves online these days--and I don't think that's inherently bad. One unintended consequence--Facebook creates a narrative of one woman's life and very sad death.

Well, that was horrible and sad and scary. I've never even heard of the condition she had. It is interesting how the tragedy played out so publicly.

I read that piece in the Washington Post. It was devastating; I wanted a happy ending. I agree with Amber that the public-ness of the story is interesting.
